C Spire Names Askins National Account Director

New National Account Director brings more than 25 years of IT, business development and operations experience to new role

RIDGELAND, Miss. (April 11, 2024) – C Spire, a diversified telecommunications and technology services company, has named Jonathan Askins as national account director. In his new role, he will be instrumental in supporting the launch of C Spire Passport, a new business connectivity solution, managing relationships with key national accounts, and focusing on strategic sales and development.

Askins has more than 25 years of experience in IT, business development, and operations. He has previously held roles as Arkansas' chief technology officer and the director of Arkansas’ Department of Transformation and Shared Services, Division of Information Systems (TSS DIS).

Prior to his work in the public sector, Askins served as a senior client management director for Acxiom Corporation. While with the company, he led a team to develop a new product strategy for new government business sectors. In 1998, he was appointed to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission by then Governor Mike Huckabee, where he led a cabinet-level task force to encourage investment in Arkansas' tourism industry. In 2018, Governor Hutchinson appointed him to the state Data Transparency Commission, which he served as vice chair.

Askins earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Montevallo. He is married to Leigh Anna, and they have two children: JJ (25) and Jessica (22). They reside in Scott, Arkansas.
