Why Bark parental controls?

Bark can monitor your child’s texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more.

You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about. Regardless of which service is chosen, only one Bark account will be needed per family. All of your wireless devices such as phones and tablets can be covered under the same Bark account.

Bark uses advanced machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to recognize potential problems. Simple keyword searches are not enough to detect the majority of issues, which is why Bark’s service uses contextual analysis and natural language processing to determine when something serious might be happening.

Families can manage not only when their kids can access the internet on their devices, but also which sites they can visit.

You can create custom profiles for each child in your house, create screen time schedules, and manage access to a wide variety of websites — including video streaming, gaming, adult content, and more.

To get started, simply click here, and follow the steps to add Bark to your account.  Remember, only one Bark account is needed to protect all of your children’s wireless devices such as cell phones and tablets. Once you’ve completed the steps, check your email for step-by-step instructions on setting up your Bark account and your monitored devices.  As part of your Bark account, you will need to agree to Bark’s Terms and Conditions.

Current Bark subscribers can absolutely continue their Bark services through C Spire; however, there is an additional step required.  You’ll need to temporarily cancel your Bark account, then let C Spire add Bark to your C Spire account with the same email you used for your Bark account.  Then, your Bark account will be reactivated, and all your existing profiles, settings, and alerts will be reinstated. For Bark Premium, you’ll need a computer for set up if your child has an iPhone, iPad, or iPod.  For Androids, you won’t need a computer at all

For Bark Jr., all that’s required is to have Bark’s companion apps for iOS or Android downloaded to your child’s phone.

Bark takes the security of your child’s data very seriously.  Their website uses SSL encryption, and all analyzed data is stored within Bark’s encrypted database.  For more information about Bark’s security measures, click here. While C Spire may receive high-level, aggregate data on trends for our customers, C Spire will not be able to determine which devices are being monitored or what’s being monitored on those devices.  Additionally, C Spire will not be privy to any of your personalized Bark settings, notifications, alerts, or any of the information provided to you by Bark.
