How will upgrading impact my bill?

If you buy a new phone on a device payment plan, you’ll see the monthly payment for it on your bill each month. You’ll also see the monthly charge for your new line. Taxes are charged at the time you buy the phone.

If you buy a new phone without a device payment plan or bring your own phone, your bill won’t change unless you get a new line. In that case, you’d see the monthly service cost for that new line added to your bill. All online device orders get free shipping.

When will my new line show up on my bill?

You’ll see the charge for your new line on your next bill. Remember, any credits from deals are distributed in monthly installments and may not start until your third bill, depending on the promotion.

Can I trade in my phone if I buy one online?

Absolutely. You can get trade-in credit toward new devices for most smartphones. Find out more about our trade-in offer.

Will I have to go without a phone at any point if I buy a new phone online?

Nope. If you’re trading, you won’t have to send us your old phone until after you get and activate your new phone. Just be sure to get your trade-in to us within 14 days after activating the new one.
